Visually Editable Charts

PowerCharts Drag-able charts are a specialized form of conventional column, line and area charts. You can visually edit the values of the plotted data simply by dragging the data plots. Drag-able charts are meant to be used as interactive planning tools, as they allow for visual editing of plotted values and submission of the modified data back to server.

  • Make any data point drag-able

    Make any data point drag-ableAny number of columns or anchors can be made drag-able. So you can easily create a charts where some values are fixed and some can be edited by the end user. To highlight the editable data points, you can show them with a dashed border

  • Snap to Div

    Snap to DivYou can introduce a certain degree of stickiness into the dragging feature by using Snap to Div. When Snap to Div is used, the columns (or anchors) will snap to the nearest divisional line when the end user stops dragging

  • Directly increase/decrease chart limits

    Directly increase/decrease charts limitsWant to drag the column to a value higher than what the charts's upper limit is? Simply click on the charts upper limit, set it to a higher value and go about your dragging business

  • Smart Chart Limit Increase/Decrease

    Smart charts Limit Increase/DecreaseDon't want to change your charts limits to random values and have weird numbers on your divisional lines? Use the "Increase/Decrease Limit option" from the context menu and change your charts limits to smart pre-calculated values

  • Send modified data back to server

    Send modified data back to serverThe modified charts doesn't just stay on screen. You can submit the modified data back to the server through JavaScript functions or as emulated FORM submission

  • Restore to original state

    Restore to original stateWhat if the user drags the column to a wrong value? Or changes the charts limits incorrectly? Don't punish him for his mistakes. Give him the Restore button. Just one click and he gets back the original chart
