I am using a Modal Popup Extender as part of an Update Panel and sometime the charts will not appear. The flash does not load at all it is just an empty modal popup box. The problem only occurs in Firefox and does not occur all the time. When run in IE7 the charts appear every time. There is absolutely no code change between the time when the charts appear and the time when the charts do not appear. Is there a fix or workaround for this problem?

Thanks,

Matt

I apologize for the double post but I am on a deadline and in a time crunch to finish a project. If anyone has any information on this issue please respond to me ASAP.

Thanks so much,

Matt

I apologize but I cannot send the code because it is a semi-classified matter.

Hi,

When the chart does not appear and you right click on the space where the chart is supposed to be, do you get a menu with first item as "Movie not loaded" (greyed out)?

No, nothing loads at all. There is no area where the flash is supposed to go. When I right click, no context menu appears at all.

I have followed all of the posted code on the forum: http://www.fusioncharts.com/forum/Topic7513-6-1.aspx

I instituted your C# code and the occasional slip-ups still occurs in Firefox.
I am using Firefox version 2.0.0.16.

I will describe the problem again as best I can, because as I stated before this is a semi-classified project and I cannot release my code.

In my application I want to display a FusionChart inside a Modal Popup Extender which is inside an Update Panel. When a button is clicked to show the graph, I show my Modal Popup Window and the graph is displayed within that window.

When I click on the button, sometime the graph does not appear, all that appears is the background for my Modal Popup Window. No Flash is loaded at all, there is no white area where the flash should be and there are NO messages telling me "Data not loaded" or "Invalid XML data". The problem only occurs occasionally and only happens in Firefox. All tests in IE work perfectly. I am confused why sometime the chart loads in Firefox and sometimes it does not. There is absolutely no change in code between the times that the charts load and the times that they do not, and the code is the same for both Firefox and IE.

I am completely dumbfounded and cannot figure out the problem.

Can someone please help me? Thanks.
