Suggestions for Gantt chart features

A:
Is it possible to scroll the process/task areas in the Gantt chart (Vertically & Horizontally).
If not could you add it to your customer wish list :)!

We find it difficult to fit enough information into one chart disply and scroling may help.

B:
If it were possible to expand(collapse) columns on the left hand side by double clicking on them, it might also help.

C:
Similarly, a way of grouping tasks together and expanding(collapsing) them would be useful (similar to a folder tree)

D:
Having an visual indicator to show that a task extends beyond the window would be a useful feature. (we have implemented a workaround in the interim)

E:
Are you working on an update for IS/Gantt charts?

Draggable Annotations and Change Position of Gantt Task Labels

Hello:

We use annotations a lot and would really appreciate if you could make annotations draggable, just like you've already done for legends. I already sent in this request via email (before finding this forum), so please excuse the duplication.

Also, we use Gantt charts a lot, but cannot use the task labels because they appear up above the task bar being labeled (usually conflicting with a parallel task bar). We need to position the label text in the middle of the task bar instead of above it. I checked the XML attributes and styles but could not find a way to do this. Please add this to your list of requested enhancements, or let me know if there is already a way to do this.

Create a Timeline Chart

A timeline chart would be a great addition to FusionGadgets. I often use FusionCharts and FusionGadgets to illustrate the impact of internal and external events on my company's performance. Having a chart to show these events in a timeline would add a lot to the overall impact. In my research, I have found a few MS Excel examples... nothing automated.

Gantt chart grouped processes expand / collapse - please!!

Hi all,

I just wanted to propose a new feature to the Gantt charts which is to enable the ability for grouped processes to be expanded to show the individual tasks beneath it or viewed in it its collapsed form to give an overview.

Maybe a little plus/minus symbol next to the group name to expand/collapse that particular group within the chart.

From what I have seen so far it looks great!

Drag Node Chart: Zooming and Scrolling

It would be nice to be able to make much bigger charts.

Two features which would enable this would be Zoom and Scrolling.

Any chance of these been included in a future release?

Bullet graphs - scale limits

After debate with Pallav it appears that the lowerLimit and upperLimit values are only respected if the value falls within that range.

In order to have proper control over the display of a series of graphs I would like some way to enforce these limits in ALL cases and effectively ignore values that fall below the limit and allow values that are above the upper limit to "fall off the end" of the graph whilst still reporting the correct figure as the value.

Setting the scale for server generated data to cope with all possible values results in unuseable charts. Having scales resize arbitrarily makes it impossible to compare a series of graphs intuitively... Scaling the data to fit within the limits results in inaccurate values being reported...

Fusion Calendar

I had a look through most of the online demos but I couldnt see anything that looked like a Calendar?

Does anyone know of an existing sexy Calendar out there ?

I work for one of the larger global franchise brands and we think that Fusioncharts is a GREAT looking product, and additionally on our wish list for a new reporting tool is the ability to have an interactive calendar where we can track global through to local store marketing and operations initiatives back to sales or cogs variances.

eg if sales spiked for a month we can click on that month, the calendar is displayed below and we can see that there was a TV campaign for our brand running... Likewise you can click on a calendar date and it will show you the sales for the period...

Linear Chart - Pointers

My suggestion is to add the ability to control the 'valueAbovePointer', 'pointerOnTop', and 'showValue' attributes at the pointer level instead of just the chart level. I have pointers that are overlapping. I would like to address this by moving one pointer to the bottom and the other on top. Or, I would like to be able to offset the values by having them at different heights.

Bullet Graph Suggestion - Stacking

My suggestion is to add the ability to create a 'stacking' bullet graph. The bullet graph allows the display of only one primary measure. It would be helpful to extend that one primary measure to be composed of more than one part.

Example: Instead of displaying 'Total Revenue' as a single color bar, it could display 'Total Revenue' as a stacked two color bar where part 1 is 'Revenue from Unit A' and part 2 is 'Revenue from Unit B'.

Used in conjunction with other bullet graphs for the same units, it would be great for measuring the relative contributions of each while keeping the benefits of having aggregate targets and qualitative ranges displayed.

Live Updates for X-Y chart

I would like to have a X-Y scatter chart that can receive live updates similar to the data streaming charts. I suppose I could do this with the regular X-Y scatter chart and would have to reload the chart every time I want an update but a live update would be better.

Any plans for this?

Date and Time in Gantt Chart

i see that there can be only tasks with a from and to date
is it possible to define a date and time??
fe task 1 starts at 10:00:00 o'clock and ends at 10:01:27 and so on
i need it for displaying some machine statuses which can be 3 seconds or so.

FusionMaps (in my case, for FileMaker) is really great... if you live in the right country.

Please consider amending the maps in the next version. For France, for instance, the subdivision used (regions) is not very useful, and you won't be able to sell a lot of copies here as long as you ownly have this feature. What is needed is by department, to start with, and if possible, by municipality. It would also be great to have a more detailed map of the Ile-de-France region, as well as of the larger cities and their arrondissement (Paris, Lyon, Marseille). I'm not sure how much work this would represent to you, but these are the features that would really make FusionMaps indispensable to me !

Scolling vertical gridlines for Real Time Chart

It would be nice if the vertical gridlines could scroll with the data. For example, when showing time based data I want to have a grid line every ten minutes however I have data points every minute.

I put an X data label every ten minutes to match the grid lines. When I refresh the data, the X data labels scroll however the grid lines remain static.

Suggestion for hoverText on FI2_Gantt

One minor issue that I found when using the hoverText attribute for the Gantt task element was that it included the start and end dates ... In my implementation I was using the FI2_Gantt to display in minutes and hours for a production scheduling application and I set up a database table that aligned dates with minutes/hours/days .... therefore I was only interested in the dates for generating the required FC XML....

It would be nice if the next version of hoverText (or perhaps now toolText in v3?) would NOT automatically insert the start and end date/time in the text that is displayed ...

Palette Support for Charts
Background Gradient support for Charts
Label or Legend support for the Angular Gauge (so you know which dial represents which value)
Basically all the features you added to Fusions Charts V3!!!! :)

Streaming charts

Hi guys,

I think it will be very useful the feature of adding and removing datasets in the streaming charts.

For example. a chart which shows the bandwith used by the computers in an office. You can switch off one and remove its dataset, and also create one for a new computer which is connected.
