How to upgrade from Fusionchart FREE to fusionchartV3 commercial ?

hi!

Actually i use fusionchart FREE. I produce 50 charts with webpage.

i would buy and upgrade to commercial fusionchart V3 licence.

i 'd like to know if i could keep my html/JS/tag code and just update the swf file or if i must re-code all my web pages (a hard task and due moment !) ?

mouse click not working with WMode = window

We are using FusionCharts_Enterprise v3 (MSColumn2D.swf). I need to support wmode=window, so I made changes in "FusionCharts.js" just to support "wmode=window" attriubute. But after this change mouse click on set (<set value='9' tooltext='test test' link='J-callMe()' />) is not working.

Hello,

I want to upgrade my multi line charts to lastest version of FusionChart to use connectNullData feature. But features like dateRangeStart, datelines seem not to work any more.

In my current version, i have xml data like this :

You can see that the sections in red in current version.gif are not showed in upgraded version.gif.

v3.07 says "evaluation"

After receiving the mail this morning I downloaded my free upgrade to v3.07 from the product update centre. Only it seems to be the evaluation version as all my charts now have the label "FusionCharts Evaluation - An InfoSoft Global Creation".

I've looked through the knowledge base and forums, but they just say to make sure that you've downloaded the right file. I have, I logged in to download it.

Is anybody else suffering this problem?

The company I'm working has bought Fusion Charts enterprise version. However on the download page (http://www.fusioncharts.com/PUC/) it states that this is "Fusion charts enterprise v.3). How can ensure whether this is v. 3.0.0, or 3.0.6?

Is there any version information in the downloaded zip file?

Hi every body!

I made a bar chart using "FusionCharts V3 Trial Version" i use the "class com.infosoftglobal.fusioncharts.FusionChartsCreator"
my chart was create ok, i can see ok the chart with the values that i put on the XML. For create the chart i use
the class constructor: FusionChartsCreator.createChart

When i had read the documentation i understand that with that class i have not problem for render the chart when i use Explorer , in effect i dont have problems for render i can see all ok.. in FireFox is equal i saw all ok!

But when i construct the xml i defined a "link" with a call of one Function JavaScript , i put some like:
link="javaScript:toDesc(val)", where "val" is a value of a ResultSet.

Note: i create a JSP whose name is EjemploChart.jsp

when i call the JSP (EjemploChart.jsp) the chart is render on FireFox i saw ok the "bar" chart , when i made click on a bar my javascript function was called..if i call the same JSP in Explorer i have the same result, i.e the chart is render ok and i can make click in a bar for call the javascript function, this work ok!

If i put that JSP in a Iframe in Mozilla run ok.. but in Explorer i can´t call the javaScript Function..!!! the chart is render ok!
but can´t invocate the javascriptfunction, this only hapen when i put the JSP in a Iframe..

Does anybody know what is the problem..?

Line chart problem

I am having a problem with the multi series line chart where two or more lines come together at the same X & Y point.

The data is driven from a database connection, so I tried a workaround, whereby I changed the set value by a couple of units but this is having an unwanted effect on the legend.

The issue is that when you mouse over the point in question only the last written value is included in the tool tip, and any link location would react the same. Any ideas? In the below simple example,

Paid Search and Offline Marketing have values of 1,010 on 8/7/2006, the mouse over is not showing both Items, only Paid Search. This issue becomes even more troublesome

when two consecutive points are in identical spots for 2 different items in the legend, you then only have one visible line.

Problems also arise where you plot an average/high/low line on top of data, further increasing the chance of overlapping data

I have just purchased FusionChart V3 and am trying to run it on IIS 6 and linking it to an SQL2000 database within an asp application. I have followed the instructions for installation but when I try to load the FusionCharts_developer/Code/ASP/DBExample/default.asp example (or any other database driven chart) I get a page with just Chart. displaying. Any help would be appreciated.

V 3.0.5 Problem

Hey,
I need to use absolute URLs for the dataURL parameter.

Here is my situation:
I have multiple web server machines that service XML requests. A client does not know which server he is talking to when he makes a web service call. He just sends the request to http://www.mycompany.com/webService and our load balancer sends the request to one of the servers.

The XML responses is then sent back to the client. Part of the XML response has the object tag for the flash chart with the dataURL parameter in it. This has to be an absolute URL, since the xml data file is only sitting on one of the multiple servers we have. A subsequent call to a relative URL to get the data file may not get routed to the same server through the load balancer.

If you can think of a way to resolve this, please advise, otherwise I am forced to remain on the older version until there is an option to use absolute URLs.

I don't want to use the dataXML option because of the limitations described in the documentation.
Requiring sessions with our clients is not a solution. The web services must remain stateless.

Please add an option to allow for absolute URLs. By the way, what is the security risk?

Setup FusionCharts on a FileMaker server solution?

Hi,

I am not sure the program is intended for this kind of use: I have a FM Server / client solution running on Windows 2003 Server / XP (clients). Users access FM files using TCP/IP protocol and an opener file (they do not directly have access to any server file, neither the server has any shared folder). I do not plan to access FM databases over a web server.

1.- Is it possible to deploy your software under this configuration?

2.- Where should I place the files in the server? Say I already have a FileMaker/MyDatabase folder in the server and do not want to change location of the FM daqtabase file because of the hazzle in programmed routines and client access. Can I just place your Chart folder inside and leave our databse in the original location?

3.- Should I configure the charting locally and then deploy in the server? Or may I directly program over the server? (this would be my prefered option)

Help: Eval version works, but retail version does not

I cannot get the retail version of fusion charts working on my server. I've even tried uploading the samples that are included onto my site and they do not work.
The problem I am having is that the swf does not get rendered at all...it just displays a blank white spot where the swf should be.
If I replace the retail swf w/ the evaluation version, it works.
Any help would be appreciated.

On a side note, the fusion charts do work on my local machine.

I am attempting to use the FusionChart v3 AS files within Nexaweb(XML UI Rendering & Ajax Toolkit). However, I am unable to call any of the classes defined in the FC core. Does anyone have any examples of using FC w/in Nexaweb?

In Nexaweb easytrader demo, FC is used. but i don't know well hot to use.

What is the difference between these 2 licenses? On the comparison page is seems like the only difference is that a site with a single developer can use the Developer License, while a site with multiple developers should use the Site license?

Parse Error Right After Installation

Hi,

I just uploaded all of the Fusion Charts (evaluation) files to my server. I keep getting a parse error, when viewing index.html, viewing the Gallery, etc.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/myusername/public_html/FusionCharts/Contents/Overview.html on line 1

I searched the forum, but couldn't find a similar problem (I searched for parse error). Would somebody have an idea as to what the problem is? It's my understanding that all that needs to be done to install is to upload the files.

I can't see any chart examples -- there's no javascript error, nothing's hanging, there's just text and then it's blank where the chart would be. [Edited to Add: I can't see the Combination.php or Stacked.php charts, but I can see MultiSeries and Single Series...)

Any help would be appreciated.

How can which version I'm using? We first downloaded v3 in August and I see there have been some minor updates since then (3.0.6) but the download link on the update page just says "v3" and gives no indication of which minor version it is.

Also, I can't seem to find anything in the download showing which version I currently have.

Interactive chart reading

I'm looking for an example of an interactive pie chart. I want to show a pie chart on page and then the user can pull out slices and when the "Get Slices" button is selected I would to retrieve the list of the slices that were pulled out.
I would think that there are two ways to do this. First, record each slice as it is selected but if it is unselected then the slice has to removed from the list. Second, I hope that there is some way to read the chart and ask which slices are selected. I'm looking for a Javascript example.

We have purchased the FusionCharts V3 Enterprise License. We are using this for a particular website with a domain name (say www.myAbc.com).
Having liked it, we would like to know if we could use this license for another web-based application, which is going to be deployed in the same building. At this point, this application is going to be an intranet site ...

As per the FusionCharts License Agreement (that was distributed to us as part of V3 Enterprise), it mentions -
(a) Any number of developers located in one PHYSICAL building can use this license...
(b) You can use this license for any number of websites hosted by you.

But in your website (URL : http://www.fusioncharts.com/Licensing.asp?gMenuItemId=10), it is written as
(a) FusionCharts is licensed on per-developer and per-website basis... Only Site / Enterprise license allows the same FusionCharts license to be used by unlimited Developers at same location.
(b) Each website refers to a different sub-domain. Multiple domains pointing to the same website would be considered as 1 website.

Pls advise on whether we could use the V3 Enterprise License for the other application.

[V3 to V3.0.5] Nothing is displayed anymore

Hello

I've just switched with the V3.0.5 of FusionCharts and nothing is rendering anymore. However, the swf is still generated but if I right click it, it says : "Movie not loaded". I used to call it with JS and there are no error on page.

I looked at the documentation but there's not a lot of information to switch from 3.0 to 3.0.5 and I found nothing in the forum about my bug. Thank for the help.

Would like to first say Great Product. Have been using the free version to pull data from an access database and the process could not have been easier.

Question regarding the licensing. We would mainly deploying fusion charts on our internal intranet page. How would the licesne be register. Would it be registered to our domain name of which we have two. Gentiva.com and CareCentrix.com

And if the license is regsitered to either domain name, what impact would this have on the usability on the intranet page on a local server.

I need to plot a stackedcolumn3D graph with multiple dataseries. The Y- Axis is the Number of Activations. X-Axis - Date and the Data Series-Store Type(let's say 3 store types). I need to see the chart with the 3 stacked3D dataseries for each Store type for each day, the middle stack being the number of activations for that date, the stack above being the increase in activations compared to last week of that day(if any), the stack below the decrease in activations compared to last week of that day(if any). Any help is highly appreciated.

I've just downloaded the evaluation of FusionCharts V3.

The documentation says :-

"copy com folder from Download Package > SourceCode folder into the folder in which you'll be placing your .fla file"

... guess what ... only a readme file saying source code only available with Enterprise Licence :ermm:

Please put me out of my misery!

would we only need one site lic for our domain (ourdomain.com as an example) which then presents a different header for multiple partner-based subdomains? It's still one site, one code-base - just a different header for each subdomain... abc.ourdomain.com.... bcd.ourdomain.com ... cde.ourdomain.com and so on.

Just wanted to confirm.

I have problem with Multiseries graph, Added two fields called Quantity and LinePrice. I want to apply '$' symbol to the field Line Price. I have tried with 'numberprefix' property , but it was applied to both the fields quantity and Line Total. Can any one tell how to set $ symbol to only Line Total.

I use Coldfusion MX.

I tried the Coldfusion Drill Down sample code but it appears the code does not pass from the sample page to the detail page.

The ASP sample passes the FactoryID but not the Coldfusion sample.

I need help with this before I buy the great product you have.
