Save Chart as image on server side

Hi there!

I'm working on a project that requires a Chart on a WAP page. To keep the page size small we are looking forward to convert the Chart to image. Does anyone know how to create the Chart and save it as an image on server side?

Any hint would be apreciated!!

I am using these charts with my php code and currently on x-axis some time values are displyed. These values get cramped up if data increases . Hence I would like to know how to display these values vertically on the x-axis.

I am trying to modify the xml file for MLPie1.swf.
Example of this file can be found at http://www.fusioncharts.com/Gallery/Data/MLPie1.xml.

But as soon as I change any character in the xml file, the swf file stops working. It says that XML file is not valid.
Does anyone know the reason?

I am using the trial version of Power charts.

Multi Line with Database

Hi,

I am only a few hours old to all of this and am very impressed so far.

I have got the demo going for the pie chart, but what i want to do is have a line chart with four data streams, these are simple.

Basically, i will select a customer from the database and the four gases for that customer for example Hydrogen, oxygen, i.e. all intergers. will be plotted on a mulit line line chart.

I can get the pie chart to work with my data, but not the line chart, do you have an example for MSLine from a MySQL Database

Xml invalid

Hello All,
I am having a serious problem and need to get it fixed asap.

I have 1.php and 2.php page which generates XML for fusion charts. The main.php page calls fusion charts using scripts and the gives them the php page as reference. But sometimes on refresh the chart says XML not valid.

The 1.php chart is autorefreshed every 5 mins by setting timeout for that chart and this gives a problem on every refresh.

Unable to View Charts from Client Side

Hi All,
I have Fusioncharts V3 setup on a server, the charts folder is also on the server.

When opening the FMP file through open remote file using the FMP which resides on the server PC, then the charts show up nicely.

But when I open the file through open remote using the FMP which resides on the client PC, then the charts DO NOT show up at all. I get “ The page cannot be displayed” on the web viewer.

I have been trying to figure this out and on the forum people have said that it is the path to the FusionCharts library file, but for the life of me I can it get it to work.

Can someone please go through the steps of getting this thing working?

help selecting a period of time

I want the users of my website to be able to select data for the graph to display only 1 year, 3 years or 5 years. So I went to select the date using date() and strtotime function in php...

I tested it with my database by selecting this month's data, but it says 'No Data To Display'. I don't know what is wrong...can you help me?

Strange rendering issue

Using PHP to craft the XML, I have a multiline chart.

The XML looks like:

My result isn't an error per se. I get the word Chart. Just like that, 'Chart.' XML appears valid, it's the only chart on the page I can make other charts work but this one refuses to cooperate.

Ideas?

Passing Dynamic Data to Color Node

^^^This does not work ... the color from the second color node overrwrites the color from the first color node ... Do any of you have an idea of why this would not work?

Let me assure you, also, that the variables that I am echoing to the color nodes do contain values; this was the first thing that I verified. However, no matter what I have tried, short of hard coding the values, has not worked.

this is really excellent application developed.
there is feature called drill down ie once u click on a specific bar or section of pie chart it displays details of that specific part
likewise can we have a feature where in if we can go back to the original graph where we started?

I am using the Fusion Charts Free and I want to increase the size of the Pie Chart..?
( or you can say diameter of the Circle not the Height/Width)
Because suppose I am giving size it as 600,350. It is using the full size but the actual graph is small.:P

hi everyone! I'm a beginner php and fusioncharts, and i need help desperately...i have to try and build a multiple Y axis chart using php and access. I'm currently following the XML example in Fusioncharts v3 doc...and have tried coding it in php...AND kept getting errors...

Use two or more charts in one chart

I am developing an XML file using some script. Is there any way I could Integrate MSCOLUMN2D and DONUT3D each with their own XML files into one chart or Flash file and an item-click on any of these would change both of them based on the item they click without contacting the server.

Like the one in the USA MAP example.

Query question

I've been using 3D Pie chart to represent data in my temp_results table.
For the pir chart I need two values - Count and Language name.
The following query successfully produced a chart:

select COUNT(language) as Count, language from temp_results where city='Kyyiv' and group by language;

But later I noticed that in the temp_results I have duplicate records with identical numbers.

My temp_results table has the following fields: number, language, and city.

I've tried the following queries to eliminate the duplicates:

select COUNT(language) as Count, language from temp_results where number=(select distinct number from temp_results where city='$city') group by language;

SELECT COUNT(G) as Count, L FROM (select distinct number as G, language as L from temp_results where city='$city') as tbl;

These queries did not work.

Could you please help me to count distinct records for distinct languages.

I tried to use the method addDataFromDatabase to spend a result originated from the adoDB class but unable to results.

Color Palette

How can I change de color palette of the charts. No using the "1-5" palette parameter.

For example I need to change de default palette to all oranges tones.

I'm using ploting from a DB, and I'm using variables values so I can't set the color in the "set", I need to re-specify the entire palette.

Is there a file that define the palette? Is the palette defined in the ".fla"?.

SQL - PHP Multi-Series Chart.

Hi, I was able to create a chart using a single series but spent nights trying to create a multi-series chart with no good result. If anyone can help me with this it would be of great help.

Here are my tables.

2 SQL tables:

Engineers & Disks

ENGINEERS
- eng_id
- first_name
- last_name

DISKS
- job_no
- model_no
- status (value of either Complete of Fail)

What I would like to do is create a query that would display total number of Engineer's Complete and Fail job.
probably would look like this: (I only edited the image so you'll understand what i want).

I'm currently using FusionCharts for online charting and ugly jpgraph for pdf export.
As I noticed, there is a possibility to save graphs as jpg images using FusionChartsSave.php...
Is there any way to call the jpg-image-generation from my pdf-generating php script??
Would be nice to replace old fashioned jpgraph charts this way...

I am using php to coding. I change code in FusionChartSave.php to save image to server's directory.

However, I have a problem because I don't change header for FusionChartSave.php page. So, my browser will go to FusionChartSave.php page intead of stay at current page (the page that show chart). I can use history.go(-1) to back to previous page but I think it's not good solution. Browser always blink the screen.

Any solution to avoid it?

Hi, i've been trying to create a french version of my charts. I've read all the thread on the subject on this forum and none solved my problem. All my files are encoded in UTF-8 and I use setDataURL to update my charts. Here is a sample of my XML returned by my php page :

i thought the best way is to render all charts to images an the i create the pdf file.

NO PHP CLASS IN PAID VERSION??

We have just bought the full version after trialling with the free version.

We wrote our scripts using the php class fusioncharts_gen.php but there is no such file in the full version! We have tried using teh file from the free version but it does not work, no charta are rendered.

Is there a class file for use with the full version which does the same thing as the class for the free version?

Why do you not warn us??? Our screens are now broken and I have to drop everything to fix them!!

Hi,

First of all Fusion Charts is amazing and I was very impressed using the evaluation version. But, I want the chart to do the following things:

(1) My php application requires 5-6 charts to be displayed on a single page. I checked out your MultiChart.php example but it uses page breaks which is not possible in my application. Is there an alternative way to achieve this as this is a prerequisite for my app.

(2) I want url links attached to the horizontal and vertical bars in the chart. Is there an easy way to do this ?

We're using the JavaScript dataURL method, and we're passing some parameters in the data URL, but it looks like FusionCharts is also adding another parameter called FCTime with a date/time value into the list of parameters.

We DO NOT want this extra parameter to be added - it is possible to prevent it?

I have the need to render several XML files describing line charts in the same page.

chiefly, I wrote this routine, that should - at some point - generate this HTML:

Currently playing around with the evaluation copy of Powercharts and am trying to use the MSCombiDY2D with PHP Class...I know it doesn't come with the php class support but it has worked for all the other chart types so far (in the V3 eval suite). It is displaying data, but its is columns rather than lines.

The 3 functions I am working with are:

Does anyone know how I tell the chart to plot as a line? From the documentation it would appear that I specifiy using renderas, but cannot seem to figure out how I specify this using the functions mentioned above.....

Any help would be appreciated
