Create a link on name in Bar2D chart

Hello

I am trying to creare a hyper link on name in Bar 2D chart

If i will use like this my XML it is working

If i will try to pass some variable as a querysting (with quotes)to test.asp then it is not working.

Basically i need pass querysrting values like with quotes: 'CR1769'

Could someone please help on this?

Rendering/updating a chart only from client-side JavaScript

Hi. I have looked through the docs and examples and I'm wondering whether the following simpler scenario can be used.

I have data which I want to chart, and optionally drill into. I say "drill into" and not "drill-down" because I will not need to serve any additional data to do this.

As an example, say I have a simple 2D chart consisting of some values. I might want to show this chart with all the data points displayed when the page loads, but then scroll/zoom into the same data when some buttons are clicked. So the data would be served along with the initial page (e.g. as a dynamically generated JS array) when the page loads. FCF would render this initial data when the page loads. From then on I would want to drill into the data. I wouldn't need to access the server again because the entire data set would be present in the JS array. I would then locally (client-side) render the data into XML and call updateChartXML to refresh the chart without a browser page refresh.

Presumably I could also use AJAX to get another data set and render it using updateChartXML.

Maybe this is covered in the examples but I couldn't find an example that didn't seem to involve lots of FCF stuff at the server end also. If the above scenario is possible, then the ASP page wouldn't need to include the server side FusionCharts.asp, right?

Or am I missing something here?

display chart in new browser window

i've created an application in asp.net,c# using fusion charts.

my requirement is " i want to display a perticular chart in new broser window ( on a button click )so that i can close it".

i am able to display in a new aspx page using response.redirect i.e i pass xml string to other page but in this method if i close .aspx page -> application will be closed.

i dont want that.

i want to close only that window and appliation need to active (live).

how can i do it.

plz tell me what code should i write to do it.

yAxisMinValue doesn't work even I have set the null data to the min value

I have a data series which between 1 and 5, some of the data is empty.

The graph heading tag is like following

The data I am using doesn't have value less than 1, as I have set the null value data to 1 to fit the minValue requirement.

After I building up the XML data file, I passed the XML data to the swf to draw as following. While the min value of y Axis still starting with 0.

Call renderChart("FusionCharts/FCF_MSColumn2DLineDY.swf", "",strXML,"myChartId", 880, 550)

Please advise what has happenned?

Hi there, how are you guys?

I'm working with a chart, that has some small values, and another value wich is bigger than all the others, i.e:

value1=200
value2=100
value3=250
value4=300
value5=2000 (HIGHEST ONE)

so, when I render the chart, it goes off scale, the minor values show too small...

Is there any way I can use a secondary Y Axis to show another scale?

Hey everyone, I'm using Fusion Charts Free with C#, and I read somewhere that there is a property we need to add to the <object> tag that fixes the z-index problem, but I can't find that post again, what was the property that needed to be put in? How can I add this to my code if I'm using it with C#?

I use FusionCharts.RenderChartHTML to get my HTML for the chart.

Need help using FusionCharts Free with MySQL in ASP

First off, I have to say an absolutely brilliant product if you ask me. I have been reading over the documentation which has an MS Access example but what if you are using MySQL for the data source? Any advice would be most appreciated as I'm new to using FusionCharts Free.

I'm having great difficulty in finding a solution in the export of Graph (fusoncharts).
I have two charts in the same asp page (BAC41_grafico_listagem.asp), though not with the functionality of exporting to JPG work, only the first graphic works correctly.

Displaying SWFs in Charts Folder

I have tried moving SWF images from server where Fusioncharts is installed to docRoot of server where webServer is since as I understand there is a security issue with access when ':' is in the Url besides the normal http ones.

The error I get is: 'Error in Loading Data'.

Can chart review be done for merely what they look like or do the SWF files require dummy data to be seen ;) ?

when the text in name attribute of set tag for single series chart is long it prompt me Invalid XML data error

also same problem is with category tag name attribute.

I made an website using VB.Net 2008(ASP.Net) with Fusion Chart Free v3, but can't see the chart when viewing my page containing the chart!

I can only see an endless loading progress bar.

I have already checked the address of SWF and Flash settings.

My system is using Flash v10 and IE6.

I can see the chart in html page, but cannot see in aspx page.

I'm trying to get started with FusionCharts Free. I want to upload a file from the clients browser, process the file, generate the required XML with some ASP and render the chart in the browser.

My HTML page looks like:

(forgive the "{" and "}" characters but if I include HTML in the posting it gets rendered and I don't know how to stop it rendering the HTML in my forum posting).

The file viewlocalfilehandler.asp takes the posted data and generates what is needed to plot. I've got as far receiving the posted data and from it generating a series of points to be plotted. I presume I need to spit this back as an XML response, but I'm not sure how to connect the dots and what needs to be in what file.

Can anyone point me at a simple example of charting data that is derived from a request with posted data?

Random Color Bar Chart

I am having a problem with the 3d bar chart in that I can't get random colors. with the pie chart I just removed the color tag all together and it randomized the color for me. I am dynamically generating the xml data and trying to pull a color from sql. I am looping through this command "select top 1 color from colors order by NEWID()" to get a random color from the db.

The problem is only one bar ends up with a color, the rest just aren't there. I added a response.write in that same loop so I can see whats generated and it is indeed pulling random colors for every single record, its just not able to use it in the xml.

here is the relevant portion of the asp file of where the xml gets generated

x and y axis labels displaying differently

Is it possible to have the same styling on both the x and the y axis? At the moment, the x axis is in bold, but the y axis is not. I can't see a way of rectifying this and bringing consistency to the graph.

Error in loading Data in IE8

Hi I am using fusioncharts free in my ASP application. I am hosting the website on Windows 2008 Webserver. The charts display perfectly in Firefox but in IE it gives error "error in loading data".

Also when I test the webapplication on my localhost, the charts work fine in IE & no error displayed.

How to substitute standard message if graph can't be rendered (error in data)

I would like to substitute the standard message "graph" (or something like this, can't remember properly) that appears in place of the graphs if there is some problem with graph generation in FusionCharts (e.g. necessary data can't be found in the database)
I looked in the documentation but nothing came out...

Hi! I'm new and I'm using this really good tool in my website with ASP 3.0 + Javascript.
I'm building the graphs with something like:

Call renderChart("FusionCharts/FCF_Pie3D.swf", "", strXML, "Functionrelease", 350, 280)

where strXML is a string that I build via ASP with the information sets and so forth...
Everything is working fine, but I want to display a message instead of the graph if the user hasn't FlashPlayer or javascript enabled.
Could someone please explain me how to do that?

Having read the chapter in the manual regarding Drill down charts i am trying to implement links within my charts but am facing a new problem.

When setting a link on a label as such:

This works fine; as does using:
<set label='Jan' value='17400' link='n-DemoLinkPages/DemoLink1.html'/>

as does javascript functionality(j-).

However when trying to set a link on a process, the link will not parse any parameters(n- p-) or J script commands (j- JavaScript:function).

i.e.

But this does not:

Internet explorer throws the error: Cannot find the file: 'file// ../n-bar2d.html' Make sure the address or path is correct etc etc.

Is this a bug in the gantt.swf that is not parsing the parameters of the link correctly or is this feature emitted for a reason?

Error With Gantt Chart

I have just started to look at this product and its seems very good so well done to the creators!

I am able to create an xml file to display a gantt chart using the following method

however when i use the same xml data and create this in my vb.net code and pass a value to my literal on the asp.net page i get an asp.net error expected ')' Does anyone know why?

Help with FusionCharts Free and ASP - Multiseries

Hi

I am trying to set up a multi-series line chart to read data from a table in SQL Server 2007. I have looked all over and cannot seem to find any way. Single series charts are easy enough to do, but this is making me pull my hair out... :(

Can someone please provide a mock script as to how to do this, for example, sales for different products per month (i.e. each line would be a product)??? This needs to be dynamic like the single series graphs are. Setting up XML pages is confusing enough as I keep getting issues.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

updateprogress div stays behind of chart error

I have asp.net ajax website and it contains updateprogress div which should seen while chart is loading

However updateprogress div stays behind of chart and I can only see the borders of updateprogress while loading.

Any help would be appreciated

Could anyone give me any help as to how i would change the way the data I have appears, i need the Y axis to show 100 at the bottom with a coutdown to 1 at the top.

HI, I'm trying to implement FusionCharts Free, but faced the following problem.
Whilst creating a multi-series chart from data contained in arrays I paste the below code into clear .asp file (example given in local manual- [b]Creating a multi-series chart from data contained in arrays[/b] - examine attached Source_Code.txt).

Everything works fine if I follow that way.

But if I decide to split this file in real application on my web server:

1.asp - everything before the BODY tag (see attached 1.asp.txt)
2.asp - everything after BODY tag

and put some additional code into 1.asp (other arrays not touching the chart array in 2.asp) - I didn't get the chart at all.
The only things are "Chart." and error message "Error:'FusionCharts' is undefined". All paths to include files are correct.

Where is my problem in splitting the code?
