Setting Transparency

I've written an ASP page which creates the XML and generates the chart. I would like to set the background of the chart to be transparent. So far I have not had any success. I tried several settings of the bgAlpha value. One question is what exactly does the value represent?

I also modified the RenderChart function in the FusionCharts.asp to include the following:

chart_<%=chartId%>.setTransparent("<%=strTransparent%>");

I set the strTransparent value to True

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
