error in loading data

this is chandu.i have one doubt .what is meaning of "error in loading data " another one is this run only in "adobe flash cs3".

Hello all,

I am brand new to FusionCharts and I am trying to test it (understand it) before a purchase.

I am using the V3 free version with MS visual web developer 2005 .

I created a website just to test it on my local machine. To do so, I imported as requested in the FC doc all the files and folders.

using these i created my own application in c#.net according to my requirement.

1.i created a master page

2.depending on master page selection i am displaying related webform (.aspx) page in content pane

3.in that page i query db to get dataset and formed xml correctly. and displayed chart.

i did every thing as specided in the fusion charts examples

i.e I copied in the "FusionCharts" ASP.NET website folder the "FusionCharts.js" file and the required .swf files,specified the the .dll in the Bin folder

problems i am facing:

When I launch the ".aspx" the page appears but without the graph. However the flash component is launched because I can see its border. But there is nothing in it. It is empty.

The only error I have seen by clicking the error symbol in status bar of browser is the name 'FusionCharts' is not declared" (despite the fact that the ".dll" is located in the "Bin" folder,.js file is appropriate folder and also the .swf files are in appropriate folder).

If someone have an idea you are more than welcome.

Hi Guys,

Visual Studio 2005. VB

I am going through the tutorials and I cannot build the website because in the code behind the "Imports InfoSoftGlobal" has a green squiggly line under it and says "namespace or type specified in the 'imports InfosoftGlobal' does not contain any public member or cannot be found.
Also, the code:
Return FusionCharts.RenderChart("../FusionCharts/FCF_Pie3D.swf", "", strXML, "FactorySum", "650", "450", False, False)
has a squiggly line stating "name FusionCharts is not declared"

I have followed the tutorial properly and have FusionCharts.dll in the bin directory.

I can rightclick on the pages and view in browser and the pages work but I cannot build beause of the errors mentioned above.

Do you have any ideas what has gone wrong.

Hello,

I developed a little tool with fusionchart free asp.net, it works perfect! Now I want to put it on a server but it allways give a compilation error "Name 'FusionCharts' is not declared"

The .dll file is in the bin folder and I just copied all my files on the server

can somebody help me?

We're using a ModalPopupExtender with an UpdatePanel inside of it to display our graphs. When launching the modalpopup, occasionally the graph won't display at all. It's just completely not there. However, some times the graph will draw. We're not changing any of the code, so why would it work sometimes, but other times it doesn't work at all?

While drawing the X axis some values is appearing twice and also scaling is not correct. Please refer the screenshot

i am using FusionCharts Free version. In my page i want to place a gantt with the specified range based on the some selection on other controls. When i am trying to do this if the ' Tasks ' dates are not with in the categories dates range, the bars are comming at different date range.

I have a Bin folder and FusionCharts.dll is in the folder.

Hi, I want to generate an xml which would help me to show below given data in Column2D or 3D Charts.

The XML which I have generated seems to work fine but I think there is something missing.

Here is the example situation:
under the graph element, all the set elements have value = 0 then..
The bars are shown of infinite height. On y-axis it shows NaN 0 on all division lines.
Please help.

the word " Chart " was displayed when it suppose to display a graph.

Text overlapping problem

Hello everybody,

I am using Pie Chart with ASP.NET to show data in percentage. Sometimes, two or more data items have 0% value, in this case all the data items are overlapped on the chart creating readability problems. Please see the attached images, you will see two values in each chart has 0% weightage and hence their text is overlapped.

Free Chart works locally but not on web

I more or less copied one of the first samples from the docs and it works fine on localhost as well as on a web server behind my firewall; but when I posted the code (simple copy) to a public web server (two of them actually) I get the following error response:

Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: CS0246: The type or namespace name 'InfoSoftGlobal' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Hi,

I have tried the FusionChart Free version. Spend almost 4 hours on it and still no charts are displayed.

I have even created a new solution, did the steps which were described in section: "Initial Settings"

Then I have copied the basic example EXACTLY, and ALL I get is a white flash object showing no chart or even a title.

There must be more ASP.NET developers who have problems with Fusion Charts.

Anybody knows what is going wrong?

I have seen example but most of those are with Javascript. Is there any example with ASP.net with graphs rendering from code behind?

Hi all,
I'm new in FusionCharts and interested too use it in future application development, so right now i'm exploring FusionCharts features.
While there's A LOT sample to use FusionChart in ASP.Net WebApplication, I can't found any sample code to use it in VB.Net windows application.

I already to try to make a simple form that consist of 1 multiline textbox to writedown the xml string.
and already add FC As AxShockwaveFlashObjects.AxShockwaveFlash to this form
I use this XML String :

and use this code too render the chart :

I would like to know if we can hide the legend from the chart... I have been able to hide values and names but still looking for hiding Legend...

Also can these pie charts have animation like slicing coming out(eg. in V3 version)...If Yes then How??

Also, I would like to make an entire chart a hyperlink to another page..(Not a single bar using link option) Again heere I have a link button in which theree is a div tag in which the chart is being drawn.... On clicking that link button(now the chart) it would navigate to another page..

Flash Chart is making the Web page Load very slow

Hi,

I loved the charting component of yours. Thanks for such a warm response to my queries!!!

But I would like to ask is there anything possible so that I could decrease the load time when charts are being drawn... Firstly the Charts are drawn on basis of Database values so I have taken care of cache and procedures so that performance doesn't goes down but stilll it is taking some more time to get loaded...

Is there any concept of preloading the charts here that The charts when drawn for the first time takes some time but after that it gets faster..

passing xml variable

I am trying to pass a xml variable, I have verified the variable, but not sure how to change the code that looks for the xml file. Can someone tell me how I need to change it. My vartiable is strXML.

My problem is as follows:

I would like to draw the chart at the specified positions. I have a <div id="chart1"> specified at that position. My XML is being craeted dynamically from the database. I would like to draw the chart only when I click the button. Right now I am able to draw the chart but not in the div. So could you please help me with the code that I should write at codebehind....

Plotting from Database example

I have been trying out the example (Plotting from a database) in the documentation, and i was able to connect to a local ACCESS database and the chart was successfully created, but when i try to connect to a remote SQL db it throws the following error.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Source Error:

Line 37: //Generate
Line 38: xmlData.AppendFormat("",oRs.ReadData["FactoryName"].ToString(), oRs.ReadData["TotQ"].ToString() );

I think that it is not successfully connecting to the Database.
I changed the web.config file to this:

providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />

and activated the SQL code in DBConn.cs.

I really need help as i have been stuck on this problem for days.
