The cylinder gauge is represented as a vertical cylinder, whose fill level is defined by the data value being plotted. The gauge is filled with color according to the data value to be indicated. Tick marks are shown along the left/right edge of the cylinder to plot the data values. The gauge can be used to represent inventory levels, fuel levels, and so on.

• The color used as the fill color should be relevant to the data being represented, so that it is easy to visually correlate.
